Prisons and Corrections Section Ms. Streeter is the past Chair of the Prisons and Corrections Section of the State Bar of Michigan, a section that offers information to members of the legal profession and to the general public about current issues in criminal justice. International Human Rights Law Summer Study Ms. Streeter is founder and Executive Director of Bring Human Rights Home (BHRH), a Michigan not-for-profit organization. BHRH was founded to promote the study of human rights and strengthen the rule of law. BHRH is a co-sponsor of the International Human Rights Law Summer Study program conducted each summer in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a two-week intensive experiential educational program providing comprehensive exposure to International Human Rights Law. The program features intensive classroom instruction conducted by practitioners, professors, and experts in the fields of international and human rights law. Classroom instruction is enhanced by experiential components such as workshops, field work and site visits. The course offers participants extensive interaction with practicing professionals who will share their perspectives. The program is intended for law students, Human Rights activists, educators at all levels, lawyers, and representatives from all professions dealing with Human Rights issues. University faculty are invited to attend with students from their university to enhance the experiential learning for their students and their own professional educational development. The program is co-sponsored by BHRH along with Elon Center for Public Affairs, Elon University, North Carolina, and Lithuanian partners in Vilnius: the Mykolas Romeris University, the European Humanities University (the Belarusian University in Exile), and the Human Rights Monitoring Institute.
